I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
