The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could enable the group access locations they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can expect discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
